Lipscomb & Pitts Breakfast Club

So, what is the Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club? Watch this :30 video introduction:

The Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club (LPBC) is a privately-funded catalyst for the Mid-South.  A team of partner businesses, comprised of some of the largest employers in the world to mid-size and smaller firms, have come together to underwrite the cost of over 150 events each year aimed at enriching leaders and impacting our community.  The LPBC has been serving the Mid-South since 2005.

We host business seminars and workshops, bring in national guest speakers with our Signature Breakfast Series, host weekly executive lunches, and a variety of other events to provide valuable content and foster teamwork among business and city leaders.

We then provide easy, turnkey opportunities for companies and individuals to become more engaged in the community and leverage our collective resources to make an impact through volunteer days, action projects, nonprofit tours, fundraising, and more.  Recent examples include tutoring after school, mentoring, scrubbing graffiti off buildings and bridges, washing the feet of over 1,500 kids and providing them with new shoes and socks, picking up over 34,000 pounds of trash from McKellar Lake and the Mississippi River, spearheading the MPD Fallen Officer Memorial, creating and promoting the Power of the Dollar Campaign ("buy local"), launching a civic pride effort called "Memphis Rocks," and hosting a telethon.

Overall, the LPBC interacts with over 15,000 leaders in the Mid-South on a weekly basis and has received international recognition for creating a new template for how businesses can come together to make a collective impact by joining forces and weaving giving back into every aspect and event.

Each Tuesday, we can be found in the Memphis Daily News  with our "Giving Back" column. The column spotlights the great efforts of local nonprofits and offers creative ways to weave giving back into your normal life and business routine.  Each week the column is also featured in the Memphis News.

Our LPBC Radio Show airs each Saturday from 1-2p on KWAM AM990. The show features various business, nonprofit, and city leaders to discuss important trends, news, projects, and efforts.

Our TV show, The Spark, airs the third Thursday of each month at 9p on WKNO-TV Channel 10.  The 30 minute show focuses on positives from across the Mid-South and is produced in partnership with the LPBC, Media Source, and WKNO-TV.

If you would like to be in the loop on upcoming LPBC events open to the community, along with job postings, nonprofit events, and all sorts of positive news for the Mid-South, simply email us or enter your email in the box to the right and ask to be placed on our Friends list.  Our Friends list is a free weekly email newsletter that typically goes out on Wednesdays or Thursdays.  Thanks!  We look forward to seeing you soon.
